My new wells fargo card gets denied?

I lost my wells fargo card so I cancelled it and I received a new one. Wells fargo gives you the option of either calling a number to activate it or inserting it through the ATM machine to activate. I activated it through using the ATM machine and took out some cash. I tried using at a few food places but they said it was denied. I know I have cash too in my account. Any idea what should I do?? Should I just go to the bank?
