Do German Shorthaired Pointers have strong odor?

I'm planning to get a German Shorthaired Pointer, but I heard that since they have a double coat, they can have worse "doggy odor" than an average dog. Is that true? Does a GSP which is regularly bathed and brushed smell (of course if he isn't sick or doesn't roll in something stinky)?
