I really want to cut all ties with my family, why?

Nope it is not bad and I dont blame you a bit either. Family members need to keep their mouths shut if they dont like something. Period!!! I understand how you feel...I was in your situation about 3 years ago and then I met my husband which is in the army!!! Thank god we get relocated every 3 years. I would pack up and leave if it is that bad. Constant belittling and badgering is only going to hurt you in the long run, it starts to bring you down in alot of different ways. Dont let your family bring you down. Maybe in some sort of way your uncle feels like he is helping. Have you ever tried to talk to him about it?
